Course Objectives: 

1. To distinguish literary discourse from other types of discourse.

2. To differentiate the three major literary genres (poetic, narrative and dramatic) and their subcategories.

3. To foster learners’ ability to use literary devices to analyze different text

4. To enable learners to use literary devices to read various texts critically.
