Global Activity
This test aims to evaluate the specific objective.
Support
Even in cases where FFI appears to have worked, the beneficial effects may be only temporary. The increased levels of accuracy that result from instruction may prove to be impermanent or the acquisition of a new grammatical feature illusory. As time passes the effects may gradually atrophy and the learners return to similar levels of performance to those observed before the instruction. If this were the case, the utility of formal instruction would be severely limited. Thus, the Algerian teacher should take into consideration a number of issues as the durability of FFI instruction, the effects of different types of formal instruction, as well as the language features that can be effected (linguistic or pragmalinguistic).
