An academic essay is a short piece of writing that consists of a number of paragraphs combined together to discuss a particular topic. An essay has a conventional structure involving three main part: an intoductory paragraph, a body and a conclusion. each part has a function and a particular pattern of arranging ideas. there exist a variety of easy types, each of which depends on the nature of the topic and the purpose of the writer. This course is designed for third year students of English.
