Financial institutions are the backbone of any economic system; they are linked to all the economy’s components, including individuals, households active in different sectors, and the government. Therefore, the progress and backwardness of a country's economy are attributable to the effectiveness of its financial institutions, which provide the funds necessary for economic activity.

Financial institutions often match savers' or investors' funds with those seeking them, allowing people to access the money they need.

The present module consists of a series of lessons designed for first-year master's students specializing in financial institutions law, aimed at expanding and deepening their understanding of the financial system, including its institutions and instruments, while also equipping them with legal technical terminology to enhance their knowledge in this broad and important field.
