General objective

At the end of the course, the student is expected to be able to use the basic economic concepts when dealing with economic phenomena.

Specific objectives

The course aims to:

  • Introduce students to the basic concepts of economics.
  • Recognize the various intellectual currents and schools of thought in economics.
  • Compare the approaches used by capitalism and socialism to solve the economic issue.
  • Discover Islamic economics and distinguish between it and positive economies, particularly capitalism and socialism
