Communication
Communication, in its simplest forms, manifests in the human’s as well as the animal’s symbols, gestural or verbal, that are used to communicate a certain meaning. In other words, it refers to the production of sounds and the body movements that are performed by a human being or observed in an animal. These are purposeful and they form what is called ‘language’. Thanks to language, especially the written form of language, our ancestors could leave us a tremendous cultural and social heritage that we would never have heard of in the absence of language.
Nowadays, however, the ways people communicate have changed considerably and become more and more sophisticated. People nowadays meet often in the virtual world rather than face to face. We got used to hearing some new terms like international friends who meet virtually on the internet without the need to move a hair and travel.
During the corona virus pandemic, people felt the urgent need to learn how to communicate remotely. Teachers and students are no exception. New platforms were created to keep the learning process going and solve the problem of the rapid spread of the pandemic. Thus, we can say that the covid 19 was really a mercy in disguise for us since we were obliged to learn and search about the modern means of online communication to maintain the teaching and learning process.
