Semantics

It is the scientific study of meaning of words and sentences. It covers the themes of synonymy, antonymy, hyponymy and polysymy.

Speech

the act of delivering a formal spoken communication to an audience

Syntax

is the scientific study of how phrases, clauses and sentences are combined in a particular language. British linguists refer to this field as “syntax” which is referred to by American as “grammar”.
