This module is designed for first-year students in the Master of Competitive Sports Coaching program. It includes six lectures introducing students to the concept of sports nutrition, its essential nutrients, and energy production and nutrition systems.

The module also addresses the vital role of nutrition in athletic performance, provides an overview of sports nutrition: fueling the body for optimal performance, and explores the impact of poor nutrition on athletes. By the end of this module, students will have acquired a basic knowledge base and practical skills in developing a healthy sports nutrition program and how to apply it to their academic careers.
