تمثّل دراسة مبادئ القانون المدخل الطبيعي لدراسة أي علم من العلوم القانونية، لما تحتويه من مبادئ أساسية في التعريف بهذا العلم قصد فهم مضمونه بمختلف فروعه وشتى موضوعاته وتخصصاته، حيث يتعذر فهم القانون والتعامل مع مصطلحاته إلا بعد الإلمام بهذه المبادئ ..
تناول هذا المقياس مجموعة من المواضيع بدءً بتعريف القانون وبيان خصائصه، ثم تقسيمه إلى قانون عام وقانون خاص من خلال بيان فروعهما، ثم تقسيم القواعد القانونية إلى آمرة ومكملة، ثم تطرقت بعد ذلك إلى مصادر القانون، ثم انتقلت إلى نطاق تطبيق القانون من حيث الأشخاص والمكان وكذا الزمان، لنختم هذه الدراسة بموضوع تفسير القانون من خلال بيان أنواعه وكذا طرقه .

Course Summary
The study of the principles of law represents the natural introduction to the study of any legal science, as it contains basic principles in defining this science in order to understand its content in its various branches, topics and specializations, as it is difficult to understand the law and deal with its terms except after familiarity with these principles..
This course dealt with a group of topics starting with defining the law and explaining its characteristics, then dividing it into general law and special law by explaining their branches, then dividing the legal rules into mandatory and supplementary, then it touched on the sources of the law, then moved to the scope of application of the law in terms of persons, place and time, to conclude this study with the topic of interpreting the law by explaining its types and methods.
