Economics is a highly significant science, as it has become the science that governs our lives from the economic and social aspects. It provides insights for understanding phenomena and economic life and provides the tools and solutions for decision-makers to effectively address various problems, thus raising economic prosperity and improving economic performance. Therefore, the political economics lectures are highly important for law students; they come to help them to understand economic life. Through it, they form a clear picture of the course of economic life with all its activities and actors. This enables them to understand economic phenomena that affect our prosperity and welfare.

The lectures are conglomerated in four chapters. The first chapter addresses the definition and content of economics and its relationship to other sciences, while the second chapter sheds light on the development of economic thought. The third chapter examines economic systems and their methods of production, while the final chapter examines the Islamic economy.
